Data Engineer - Azure & Databricks (Hyderabad)

Role Description The Data Engineer – Azure & Databricks is a full time hybrid role based in Hyderabad, with flexibility for some work-from-home arrangements. The role involves designing, building, and maintaining scalable data pipelines on Azure and Databricks to support analytics, reporting, and business intelligence initiatives. Day-to-day responsibilities include developing and optimizing ETL processes, implementing data models, managing data warehousing solutions, and ensuring data quality, security, and performance.

The Data

Engineer will collaborate closely with analytics, data science, and business teams to understand requirements, translate them into technical solutions, and support the deployment of advanced analytics use cases. The role also includes monitoring production workflows, troubleshooting issues, and continuously improving data infrastructure and best practices.

Qualifications

Strong Data Engineering skills, including building and maintaining data pipelines and working with large datasets.

Experience with Data Modeling and Data Warehousing for analytical and reporting environments.

Hands-on expertise in Extract Transform Load (ETL) processes and tools, with a focus on performance and reliability.

Practical knowledge of Data Analytics concepts to support reporting, dashboards, and advanced analytics solutions.

Proficiency with Azure data services (e.g., Azure Data Factory, Azure Synapse, Azure Data Lake) and Databricks.

Strong SQL skills and experience with at least one programming language commonly used in data engineering (such as Python or Scala).

Familiarity with version control, CI/CD practices, and data governance, including security, privacy, and compliance.

Ability to work effectively in cross-functional teams, communicate complex technical topics clearly, and manage multiple priorities.

Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.

Experience in marketing analytics, business intelligence, or working with sales and customer insights data is an advantage.
