Cyber Security Analyst Chennai (India)

Job Summary

We are seeking a proactive and skilled Cyber Security Analyst to join our team at FLSmidth A/S. In this role, you will be instrumental in protecting our digital assets, identifying and responding to security threats, and ensuring the integrity and confidentiality of our information systems across a global enterprise.

Job Responsibilities

Monitor security systems and tools for alerts, anomalies, and potential security incidents.

Perform in - depth analysis of security events, logs, and network traffic to identify and investigate threats.

Respond to security incidents, including incident containment, eradication, recovery, and post - incident analysis.

Conduct vulnerability assessments and penetration testing to identify weaknesses in our systems and applications.

Develop and implement security controls, policies, and procedures to enhance our security posture.

Collaborate with IT operations and development teams to integrate security best practices into our infrastructure and software development lifecycle.

Stay up - to - date with the latest cybersecurity threats, trends, and technologies.

Assist in security awareness training for employees.

Maintain documentation of security incidents, analyses, and configurations.

Participate in security audits and compliance initiatives.

Job Qualifications

Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Cybersecurity, or a related field.

2+ years of experience in a cybersecurity role, preferably within a corporate setting.

Solid understanding of network protocols, operating systems (Windows, Linux), and cloud environments (Azure, AWS).

Proficiency with security tools such as SIEM, EDR, IDS/IPS, firewalls, and vulnerability scanners.

Experience with incident response methodologies and forensic analysis.

Knowledge of common cybersecurity frameworks (e. g. , NIST, ISO 27001).

Certifications such as CompTIA Security+, CEH, CySA+, or similar are a plus.

Excellent analytical, problem - solving, and communication skills.

Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast - paced workplace.
