Role Description This is a full-time, paid internship for a Digital Content Creation & Digital Marketing on Social Media role, based in Bengaluru with a hybrid work arrangement (partial work-from-home and partial work-from-office). The intern will support the planning, creation, and publishing of digital content across social media platforms, including drafting posts, basic graphic assets, short videos, and stories aligned with the organization’s mission. Day-to-day responsibilities include assisting with content calendars, capturing and organizing photos or videos from events, writing captions and short articles, and helping monitor engagement metrics and comments. The intern will collaborate with the communications and program teams to ensure content is accurate, accessible, and sensitive to the communities served. The role may also involve basic campaign support, outreach to online communities, and maintaining consistent branding and messaging across channels.

Qualifications

Ability to create clear, engaging written content for social media and basic website updates, with strong attention to grammar and clarity.

Foundational skills in digital content creation, such as simple graphic design, basic video editing, or using common content tools and templates.

Interest in and familiarity with major social media platforms (e.g., Instagram, Facebook, X, LinkedIn) and their content formats and trends.

Organizational and time-management skills to manage multiple tasks, meet deadlines, and follow content schedules in a hybrid work setting.

Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with an inclusive, respectful approach to working with diverse communities and colleagues.

Motivation to learn digital marketing basics, including reach, engagement, and simple analytics, with openness to feedback and guidance.

Currently pursuing or recently completed a degree or course in communications, media, marketing, social sciences, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.

Demonstrated interest in nonprofit or social impact work; prior volunteer or internship experience in a similar environment is an advantage but not mandatory.
