Cloud Engineer III

Are you a cloud-savvy engineer who thrives on solving complex infrastructure challenges in a fastpaced financial environment? Do you love building resilient, automated, and scalable systems

that power mission-critical business operations? If so, we have the perfect opportunity for you to

make a real impact - join us and help shape the future of cloud infrastructure at the

intersection of finance and technology!

About the Role

As a Cloud Engineer III, you will be at the heart of designing, implementing, and managing

cutting-edge cloud infrastructure solutions that support our Finance IT SAP landscape. This is a

hands-on, high-impact role where your expertise in cloud technologies, automation, and

enterprise networking will directly influence the reliability and performance of critical financial

systems. You'll work in a dynamic hybrid cloud environment, collaborating with talented engineers

and stakeholders to deliver robust, secure, and highly available infrastructure solutions.

Key Responsibilities

Design and implement scalable cloud infrastructure solutions, driving end-to-end delivery of

complex cloud architecture components

Manage and optimize SAP landscapes hosted on cloud platforms (preferably Azure),

ensuring peak performance and reliability

Develop and maintain automation pipelines and Infrastructure-as-Code (IaC) practices using

tools such as Terraform and Ansible for efficient and repeatable system management

Deploy cloud-native solutions and seamlessly integrate them with on-premises

environments in a complex hybrid cloud setup

Design and enforce high availability and fault tolerance architectures to ensure business

continuity across all cloud-hosted systems

Oversee upgrade, disaster recovery, and patching activities for virtual machines and

systems hosted on cloud platforms, ensuring minimal downtime

Troubleshoot production infrastructure issues with urgency and precision, delivering

thorough Root Cause Analysis (RCA) to prevent recurrence

Implement secure landing zone concepts to strengthen cloud security posture and protect

critical financial data

Collaborate cross-functionally with infrastructure, application, and security teams to deliver

integrated, enterprise-grade solutions

Utilize deep knowledge of Enterprise Networking, Storage, and Backup technologies to

maintain and improve overall infrastructure health

About the Team

Welcome to the Finance IT SAP Infrastructure team - a group of passionate and skilled

engineers dedicated to powering the backbone of our financial technology ecosystem. Our team

designs, drives, and implements innovative infrastructure solutions on the cloud, leveraging

extensive knowledge of cloud components to optimize and evolve our SAP landscape. We operate

at the exciting intersection of financial domain expertise and cutting-edge cloud technology,

managing complex hybrid cloud environments, ensuring high availability, and championing

automation and infrastructure-as-code practices. If you enjoy solving meaningful technical

challenges in a collaborative, forward-thinking environment, you'll feel right at home with us.

About You

You are a technically strong and curious cloud engineer who brings both depth of knowledge and

a collaborative spirit to everything you do. You take ownership of complex problems,

communicate clearly with stakeholders at all levels, and are passionate about building

infrastructure that is secure, resilient, and efficient. You thrive in ambiguous situations, adapt

quickly to evolving technologies, and are always looking for smarter ways to automate and

improve. Whether you're deep in a production incident or architecting a new cloud solution, you

bring energy, precision, and a solutions-first mindset.

We are looking for candidates who meet these requirements

Proven experience in setting up and managing SAP landscapes on cloud platforms,

preferably Microsoft Azure, including hands-on knowledge of SAP-specific cloud architecture

and sizing

Strong expertise in cloud components and services, with the ability to architect and manage

infrastructure in complex hybrid cloud environments within a financial domain context

Hands-on experience with automation tools (preferably Ansible) and Infrastructure-as-Code

using Terraform or equivalent technologies, enabling efficient, scalable, and repeatable

deployments

Solid expertise in Enterprise Networking, Storage, and Backup, combined with strong

troubleshooting skills for diagnosing and resolving production infrastructure issues

In-depth knowledge of high availability, disaster recovery, clustering, and failover

technologies, including upgrade and patching activities on virtual machines with minimal

downtime

Hands-on experience with Linux Operating Systems and proficiency in scripting languages

such as Bash and PowerShell for system administration and automation tasks

Experience with monitoring and observability tools for cloud infrastructure (e.g., Azure

Monitor, Grafana, or similar), with the ability to proactively identify and resolve

infrastructure issues

These are additional nice to haves

Familiarity with secure cloud landing zone concepts and best practices for cloud security

governance and compliance

Exposure to multi-cloud environments or experience working alongside on-premises SAP

systems in a hybrid setup

Understanding of financial domain technicalities and the unique infrastructure requirements

that come with supporting finance-critical applications

Strong documentation skills and the ability to produce clear architectural diagrams and

runbooks for complex infrastructure setups

Excellent collaboration and communication skills, with a track record of working effectively

in cross-functional, globally distributed teams

Our company has a hybrid work model where the expectation is that you will be in the office at

least three days per week
