About the Role

We are looking for an experienced Chartered Accountant to join our in-house finance team.

The role will act as a key link between the Finance Head and the accounts team, ensuring accurate accounting, taxation, compliance, reconciliations, and financial reporting for our e-commerce business.

The ideal candidate should have strong knowledge of GST, TDS, income tax, e-commerce finance, audits, and international compliance. Experience in a D2C, e-commerce, retail, export, or consumer brand setup will be preferred.

Key Responsibilities1. Accounting & Finance Operations

  • Review and supervise day-to-day accounting entries
  • Ensure correct booking of sales, purchases, expenses, refunds, returns, discounts, and payment charges
  • Guide the accounts team on ledgers, entries, reconciliations, and documentation
  • Support month-end and year-end closing activities
  • Maintain accurate records for audits, taxation, and internal reporting
  • E-commerce Reconciliations
  • Reconcile sales from Shopify, website, marketplaces, and other sales channels
  • Reconcile payment gateway settlements, COD, refunds, RTOs, cancellations, and returns
  • Track mismatches between orders, invoices, payments, and books
  • Ensure accurate accounting of shipping charges, platform fees, commissions, discounts, and deductions
  • Build cleaner reconciliation processes and internal checks
  • GST, TDS & Tax Compliance
  • Prepare and review GST working and filings
  • Handle GSTR-1, GSTR-3B, GST reconciliations, and input tax credit checks
  • Reconcile GSTR-2B/2A with purchase records
  • Review TDS applicability, deduction, payment, and return filing
  • Support income tax, advance tax, tax audit, assessments, and notices
  • Coordinate with external consultants wherever required
  • International Finance & Compliance
  • Ensure correct accounting and documentation for international orders and export sales
  • Understand GST treatment for exports, LUT/Bond, zero-rated supplies, export invoices, and refund documentation
  • Track international payment gateway settlements, forex differences, bank charges, refunds, and returns
  • Maintain records for export shipments, invoices, payment receipts, customs/shipping documentation, and compliance
  • Coordinate with logistics, banks, payment partners, and consultants for cross-border transactions
  • Support the Finance Head in compliance requirements for new international markets
  • MIS, Reporting & Audits
  • Prepare monthly MIS reports and financial summaries
  • Track revenue, expenses, margins, profitability, cash flow, and major cost heads
  • Highlight discrepancies, unusual expenses, and process gaps
  • Prepare audit schedules and support statutory/internal audits
  • Strengthen financial controls and improve finance workflows
  • Team Coordination & Process Improvement
  • Act as a bridge between the Finance Head and accountants
  • Guide junior accountants and ensure timely task completion
  • Coordinate with operations, inventory, customer support, HR, and admin teams when needed
  • Help create SOPs for accounting, compliance, reconciliations, and reporting

Required Qualification & Experience

  • Qualified Chartered Accountant
  • 2–5 years of relevant experience
  • Experience in e-commerce, D2C, retail, export, FMCG, or consumer goods preferred
  • Strong practical knowledge of GST, TDS, income tax, audits, reconciliations, and compliance

Required Skills

  • GST, TDS, income tax, and audit compliance
  • E-commerce accounting and payment reconciliation
  • Export sales and international payment reconciliation
  • Basic understanding of FEMA/RBI-related foreign remittance requirements
  • Month-end closing and MIS preparation
  • Vendor, customer, and ledger reconciliations
  • Excel/Google Sheets
  • Tally, Zoho Books, or similar accounting software
  • Shopify/payment gateway experience preferred

Pay: ₹40,000.00 - ₹60,000.00 per month
