BRE Developer - Business Rules Engine - Immediate Joiner

Job Summary

We are looking for a Senior Business Rules Engine (BRE) Developer with hands-on experience in StrategyOne (S1) to design, develop, and maintain business rules for banking and lending applications. The ideal candidate should have experience in Loan Origination Systems (LOS), underwriting, business rule development, and stakeholder collaboration.

Key Responsibilities

• Gather and analyze business requirements from stakeholders.
• Design, develop, and maintain business rules using StrategyOne (S1).
• Build and manage workflows for loan origination and underwriting processes.
• Develop decision logic, business rules, and computation logic for banking applications.
• Configure and maintain APIs and system integrations.
• Create and manage application scorecards and decisioning workflows.
• Perform unit testing, rule validation, and support UAT.
• Troubleshoot production issues and enhance existing business rules.
• Collaborate with Business, Risk, IT, QA, and Product teams.
• Prepare technical documentation, business rule documentation, and release notes.
• Work in an Agile environment using JIRA.

Required Skills

• 2–4 years of experience in Business Rules Engine (BRE) development.
• Hands-on experience with StrategyOne (S1).
• Experience in Loan Origination Systems (LOS) and underwriting.
• Strong knowledge of banking, lending, or NBFC domains.
• Experience creating business rules, workflows, and decision logic.
• Knowledge of API integrations.
• Experience with Agile methodology and JIRA.
• Good analytical, communication, and stakeholder management skills.

Preferred Skills

• Experience with application scorecards.
• Knowledge of SDLC and software development best practices.
• Experience working with banks, NBFCs, or FinTech organizations.

Qualification

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Engineering, Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.
