Backend Engineer (Node.js, NestJS & AWS)

Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Backend Engineer role based in Jaipur, focused on Node.js, NestJS, and AWS. The Backend Engineer will design, develop, and maintain scalable server-side applications and APIs, ensuring high performance, reliability, and security. Daily responsibilities include implementing new features, optimizing existing services, integrating with third-party systems, and writing clean, testable code. The role involves collaborating closely with front-end engineers, product managers, and QA to deliver weekly working demos, support Discovery Sprints and Build Audits, and contribute to deployment, monitoring, and maintenance workflows on AWS. The Backend Engineer will also participate in code reviews, improve development processes, and help troubleshoot production issues.

Qualifications

• Candidates should possess skills in Back-End Web Development and Software Development, with strong experience in Node.js and NestJS.
• Candidates should possess skills in Object-Oriented Programming (OOP) and general Programming, with a solid grasp of data structures, algorithms, and design patterns.
• Candidates should possess skills in Front-End Development sufficient to collaborate effectively with front-end teams and integrate APIs with user-facing applications.
• Experience with AWS services (such as Lambda, ECS/EKS, API Gateway, RDS, DynamoDB, and CloudWatch) and cloud-native architectures is highly beneficial.
• Experience building RESTful and/or GraphQL APIs, working with relational and NoSQL databases, and implementing authentication and authorization is preferred.
• Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines, containerization tools (Docker, Kubernetes), and test frameworks (Jest or similar) is an advantage.
• Strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced, product-focused environment are essential.
• A degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience, is beneficial.
