About the Role

We're looking for a Backend Developer with strong experience in Node.js, TypeScript, and PostgreSQL to build scalable backend systems and integrations. You'll work on high-volume data pipelines, third-party API integrations, asynchronous processing, and backend services powering e-commerce analytics and automation.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, build, and maintain scalable backend services using Node.js and TypeScript.
• Develop and optimize PostgreSQL databases, including schema design, migrations, and query performance tuning using Prisma ORM.
• Build and maintain integrations with third-party REST APIs, handling OAuth authentication, token refresh, pagination, retries, and rate limits.
• Design and maintain asynchronous, event-driven systems using job queues such as Inngest, BullMQ, Temporal, or AWS SQS.
• Build reliable queue-processing pipelines with idempotent handlers, retry strategies, dead-letter queues, and duplicate message handling.
• Investigate and resolve production issues related to data accuracy, aggregations, and timezone handling.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver reliable, maintainable, and scalable backend solutions.

Must-Have Skills

• Strong hands-on experience with TypeScript and Node.js.
• Experience with PostgreSQL and ORM tools (preferably Prisma).
• Production experience integrating third-party REST APIs.
• Experience building or maintaining asynchronous queue-based systems.
• Strong debugging and problem-solving skills with a focus on data correctness.
• 2–3 years of backend development experience in production environments.

Strongly Preferred

• Experience with Amazon Selling Partner API (SP-API) or Amazon Ads API (highly preferred).
• Working knowledge of AWS, especially SQS and IAM.
• Experience with Next.js App Router and API routes.
• Familiarity with Redis, Docker, and CI/CD pipelines.

Nice to Have

• Experience integrating LLM APIs such as OpenAI, Anthropic, or Vercel AI SDK.
• Knowledge of e-commerce or advertising technology, including Amazon campaigns, ACOS, and keyword bidding strategies.
