Role Description As a Backend Developer (Node.js, AWS, MongoDB) Intern at Outmarch, you will contribute to the design, development, and maintenance of backend services that power our AI-first retail operations platform. You will assist in building APIs, integrating databases, and optimizing server-side logic to ensure scalability, security, and performance.

Day-to-day responsibilities include collaborating with senior engineers, writing clean and testable code, troubleshooting issues, and supporting integrations with front-end and third-party services. You will also help monitor system performance, participate in code reviews, and contribute to technical documentation. This is an on-site internship role based in the Pune Division.

Qualifications

• Solid foundation in Programming and Object-Oriented Programming (OOP), with experience in JavaScript/TypeScript and Node.js.
• Skills in Back-End Web Development, including building RESTful APIs, working with MongoDB or similar databases, and deploying services on AWS or other cloud platforms.
• Basic understanding of Front-End Development concepts to collaborate effectively with front-end teams and support integration across the stack.
• Knowledge of software development practices such as version control (Git), testing, debugging, and documentation.
• Pursuing or having completed a degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
• Ability to work on-site in Pune Division, collaborate in a team environment, and communicate clearly with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Exposure to microservices, API security, or event-driven architectures, and interest in AI/ML-driven products is a plus.
