Backend Developer AI Platform & Integrations

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain scalable backend services for AI-powered products.
• Build centralized backend platforms/services that orchestrate and integrate multiple AI agents and workflows.
• Develop enterprise-grade APIs, microservices, and event-driven architectures.
• Collaborate with AI Engineers to integrate LLMs, AI agents, inference services, vector databases, and automation pipelines.
• Create secure, high-performance, and highly available backend systems.
• Design reusable backend components and integration frameworks for AI initiatives.
• Work on real-time communication systems, async processing, queues, caching, and distributed systems.
• Integrate third-party APIs, cloud services, authentication systems, and enterprise tools.
• Optimize backend performance, scalability, observability, and reliability.
• Participate in architecture discussions, code reviews, and technical planning.
• Write clean, maintainable, and production-ready code following best practices.

Required Skills & Qualifications

• 3 to 5 years of professional backend development experience.
• Strong experience with Node.js and TypeScript/JavaScript.
• Experience building scalable REST APIs and microservices.
• Good understanding of system design, distributed systems, and backend architecture.
• Experience with databases such as MongoDB, PostgreSQL, Redis.
• Experience with message queues/event systems such as RabbitMQ, Kafka, BullMQ.
• Experience with Docker and cloud infrastructure.
• Familiarity with authentication, authorization, and API security.
• Understanding of scalable deployment and DevOps fundamentals.
• Strong debugging, problem-solving, and analytical skills.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced startup/product environment.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience working on AI/LLM-based products or AI integrations.
• Familiarity with OpenAI APIs, LangChain/AI orchestration frameworks, vector databases, AI agent workflows, MCP/tool‑calling architectures.
• Experience with WebSockets, real-time systems, or streaming architectures.
• Knowledge of Kubernetes and cloud-native architecture.
• Experience building multi-tenant enterprise platforms.
• Exposure to CI/CD pipelines and infrastructure automation.
