Backend and Frontend Developer

• Design, build, and maintain efficient, reusable, and reliable JS/React and Ruby/ Elixir code
• Ensure the best possible performance, quality, and responsiveness of the applications
• Identify bottlenecks and bugs, and devise solutions to these problems
• Help maintain code quality, organization, and automatization
• Be involved in all stages of building products from inception, through delivery and beyond
• Help to shape the future of our architecture and best practices
• Contribute to a healthy engineering culture of feedback and growth

Additional and ad-hoc duties

• Familiarity with continuous integration
• Familiarity with development aiding tools
• Able to create database schemas that represent and support business processes

Skills and experience required

• Proven experience in writing complex JavaScript SPA
• Proven experience with React + Redux
• Proven experience with a modern JS toolchain: NPM, Lerna, Webpack, ESLint,...
• Experience with popular web application frameworks such as Rails, Lotus, etc depending on project requirements.
• Familiarity with command-suite libraries, depending on project requirements.Good understanding of the syntax of Ruby/ Elixir and its nuances
• Knack for writing clean, readable Ruby/ Elixir code
• Solid understanding of object-oriented programming
• Understanding of functional programming style in Ruby/ Elixir
• Creative thinking and problem-solving mindset
• Experience developing complex web applications/APIs in distributed architectures
