Position: AI Developer – Azure / Generative AI

Location: Chennai, India (Remote work acceptable)

Experience: 5–7 Years

Engagement: 3 Months Contract – Possible Extension

Job Summary

We are looking for an experienced AI Developer with 5–7 years of hands-on experience in Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning, Large Language Models (LLMs), Python, and Microsoft Azure AI services.

The ideal candidate will have strong experience in developing and deploying AI/ML solutions using GPT/BERT, Prompt Engineering, Azure AI Document Intelligence, Azure Machine Learning, MLOps, Azure Functions, and Azure DevOps.

The candidate will be responsible for designing, developing, integrating, deploying, and maintaining AI-powered applications and services in a cloud environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and develop AI and Generative AI solutions using Large Language Models such as GPT and BERT.
• Develop and optimize prompts for LLM-based applications to improve accuracy, relevance, and consistency.
• Build document-processing solutions using Azure AI Document Intelligence.
• Develop, train, deploy, and monitor machine learning models using Azure Machine Learning.
• Implement MLOps practices for model lifecycle management, deployment, monitoring, and version control.
• Develop scalable backend services and APIs using Python.
• Build and deploy serverless applications using Azure Functions.
• Design and implement cloud-based/serverless architectures for AI applications.
• Work with SQL and NoSQL databases for data storage, retrieval, and integration.
• Develop and maintain CI/CD pipelines using Azure DevOps.
• Automate application and AI/ML model deployment across development, testing, and production environments.
• Integrate AI/ML solutions with Azure cloud services and enterprise applications.
• Troubleshoot application, model, deployment, and integration issues.
• Follow best practices for security, scalability, performance, monitoring, and maintainability.
• Collaborate with developers, data scientists, architects, and business stakeholders to deliver AI solutions.

Required Technical SkillsArtificial Intelligence / Generative AI

• Strong understanding of Large Language Models (LLMs).
• Hands-on experience with GPT, BERT, or similar language models.
• Strong knowledge of Prompt Engineering.
• Experience developing or integrating Generative AI applications.
• Understanding of AI/ML concepts and model lifecycle.

Microsoft Azure

• Azure AI Document Intelligence
• Azure Machine Learning
• Azure Functions
• Azure cloud services and serverless architecture
• Experience integrating Azure AI services into applications.

Python

• Strong hands-on experience with Python development.
• Experience developing APIs, backend services, automation scripts, or AI/ML applications using Python.
• Knowledge of commonly used Python libraries/frameworks for AI/ML is preferred.

Machine Learning & MLOps

• Experience with Azure Machine Learning.
• Understanding of MLOps practices and ML lifecycle management.
• Experience with model deployment, monitoring, versioning, and automation.
• Understanding of ML/AI model development and productionization.

Database

• Experience with SQL databases such as Azure SQL/SQL Server.
• Experience with NoSQL databases, preferably Azure Cosmos DB or similar technologies.
• Ability to integrate AI applications with databases and data services.

DevOps & CI/CD

• Hands-on experience with Azure DevOps.
• Experience creating and managing CI/CD pipelines.
• Knowledge of source control, automated builds, testing, and deployment.
• Experience automating deployment of applications and/or ML models.

Preferred Skills

• Experience with Azure OpenAI Service.
• Experience building RAG (Retrieval-Augmented Generation) applications.
• Knowledge of vector databases and embeddings.
• Experience with REST APIs and microservices.
• Knowledge of Docker/containerization.
• Understanding of cloud security and Azure identity/access management.
• Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments.

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Artificial Intelligence, Data Science, Engineering, or a related field.
• Equivalent practical experience may also be considered.
