Job Description & Responsibilities

Key Responsibilities:Accounting and Bookkeeping

  • Work in collaboration with the team of accountants based in Australia
  • Maintain accurate financial records for Australian clients.
  • Process accounts payable and receivable.
  • Reconcile bank statements and manage general ledgers.
  • Prepare and manage payroll using Australian payroll software.
  • Assist in the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports.

Taxation

  • Prepare BAS (Business Activity Statements) and IAS (Instalment Activity Statements).
  • Assist in the preparation and lodgment of individual, partnership, trust, and company tax returns.
  • Provide support for GST, PAYG, and other tax-related matters.

Compliance and Reporting

  • Ensure compliance with Australian accounting standards and tax regulations.
  • Assist in the preparation of financial statements in accordance with Australian accounting standards.

Interaction with Australian team

  • Excellent written and spoken English skills.
  • Communicate with colleagues in Australian office to gather financial information and provide updates.
  • Ability to effectively utilise technology and communicate using mediums like MS teams, etc.

Technology and Software

  • Use accounting software such as Xero, MYOB, QuickBooks, and other relevant tools.
  • Leverage cloud-based systems for efficient document management and communication.
  • Good working knowledge of MS Office suite.
  • Qualifications and Skills:
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
  • M.Com, CA Inter or equivalent qualification preferred.
  • Minimum of 3-7 years of experience in accounting, with a focus on Australian accounting practices.
  • Understanding of Australian tax laws and regulations.
  • Proficiency in accounting software such as Xero, MYOB, QuickBooks, etc.
  • Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks efficiently.
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: ₹300,000.00 - ₹800,000.00 per year

Education

  • Bachelor's (Preferred)

Experience

  • Australian Accounting: 2 years (Preferred)
  • Xero, Myob, Quickbooks: 1 year (Preferred)

License/Certification

  • CA-Inter (Preferred)
