Audit Manager

Job Summary

We are looking for a qualified and detail-oriented Chartered Accountant (CA) with 1–2 years of post-qualification experience in a Chartered Accountancy firm. The ideal candidate must have strong hands-on experience in Statutory Audits of Manufacturing Companies, along with exposure to Internal Audits and Tax Audits.

The candidate will independently manage audit assignments, ensure compliance with statutory and regulatory requirements, coordinate with clients, and support the audit team in delivering high-quality professional services.

Key Responsibilities

Statutory Audit

• Plan, execute, and manage statutory audit assignments for manufacturing companies.
• Review financial statements and ensure compliance with applicable Accounting Standards (AS/Ind AS), Standards on Auditing (SA), and the Companies Act.
• Prepare audit programs, working papers, audit reports, and management letters.
• Identify financial, operational, and compliance risks, and recommend process improvements.
• Coordinate with client management to resolve audit observations and ensure timely completion of assignments.

Internal Audit

• Conduct internal audits to evaluate internal controls, governance processes, and operational efficiency.
• Assess compliance with internal policies, statutory regulations, and standard operating procedures.
• Prepare detailed audit reports with observations, risk assessments, and actionable recommendations.
• Assist clients in strengthening internal control frameworks and risk management practices.

Tax Audit

• Execute tax audit assignments under the Income Tax Act.
• Prepare tax audit documentation and reconcile financial information for reporting purposes.
• Coordinate with clients to collect necessary financial records and resolve audit-related queries.
• Ensure timely completion of tax audit engagements in compliance with applicable laws.

Client & Team Management

• Act as the primary point of contact for audit engagements.
• Manage client communication throughout the audit lifecycle.
• Monitor engagement timelines and ensure quality deliverables.
• Guide, mentor, and review the work of junior audit team members.
• Maintain strong professional relationships with clients while delivering exceptional service.

Required Skills

• Strong practical knowledge of Statutory Audit, Internal Audit, and Tax Audit.
• Mandatory experience in auditing manufacturing companies.
• Sound understanding of:
• Accounting Standards (AS/Ind AS)
• Standards on Auditing (SA)
• Companies Act, 2013
• Income Tax Act
• Financial Reporting
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting/audit software.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, documentation, and communication skills.
• Ability to independently manage multiple audit assignments and meet deadlines.

Eligibility Criteria

• Chartered Accountant (CA) – Mandatory.
• 1–2 years of post-qualification experience.
• Current or previous experience in a Chartered Accountancy firm is mandatory.
• Proven experience in statutory audits of manufacturing companies.
• Willingness to work from the Ahmedabad office.
