Role Description The Audit and Tax Assistant will support the audit and taxation team in executing statutory, internal, and tax audits for clients. Day-to-day responsibilities include assisting in audit planning, performing substantive and compliance testing, preparing working papers, and documenting findings in line with firm standards. The role also involves preparing tax computations, assisting in filing direct and indirect tax returns, and helping with tax assessments and related documentation. The assistant will coordinate with clients to obtain necessary information, maintain organized records, and ensure timelines and regulatory requirements are met. This is a full-time, on-site role based in Rajkot, requiring regular interaction with senior team members and clients for smooth engagement delivery.

Qualifications

  • Strong foundational knowledge of accounting principles, auditing standards, and basic taxation concepts.
  • Proficiency in MS Office (especially Excel and Word) and comfort working with accounting or audit software.
  • Good analytical and numerical skills, with attention to detail and accuracy in documentation and calculations.
  • Clear written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to prepare reports and interact professionally with clients.
  • Ability to follow structured processes, manage multiple tasks, and meet deadlines under supervision.
  • Relevant academic background such as B.Com, M.Com, CA Intermediate, or similar qualification; fresh graduates or early-career professionals are welcome.
  • Willingness to learn and stay updated on changes in taxation laws, accounting standards, and regulatory requirements.
  • High level of integrity, ethical conduct, and professionalism in handling confidential financial information.
