Job Summary

Looking for an experienced and operations-focused Assistant Store Manager to support the efficient day-to-day functioning of our Kolkata store. The ideal candidate should have a strong background in retail operations, inventory management, team supervision, and customer service while ensuring compliance with company SOPs and achieving operational excellence.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist the Store Manager in managing daily store operations and ensuring smooth store functioning.
• Drive operational excellence by ensuring adherence to company SOPs and retail standards.
• Manage inventory, stock reconciliation, cycle counts, and stock accuracy.
• Oversee inward and outward stock movement, replenishment, and stock transfers.
• Ensure visual merchandising standards are maintained across the store.
• Supervise billing operations, cash handling, and daily store closing activities.
• Monitor shrinkage, stock loss, and implement effective loss prevention measures.
• Lead, coach, and motivate the store team to deliver excellent customer service.
• Coordinate with warehouse, supply chain, and corporate teams for timely stock availability

. • Ensure compliance with audit requirements, statutory guidelines, and company policies.

• Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly operational reports and MIS.
• Handle customer concerns and ensure timely resolution to enhance the overall shopping experience.
• Support the Store Manager in achieving store sales, productivity, and operational KPIs.

Skills & Competencies

• Strong expertise in retail store operations and inventory management.
• Hands-on experience with POS systems and ERP software.
• Excellent leadership and team management skills.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple priorities.
• Proficiency in MS Excel and reporting.
• Customer-centric approach with strong operational discipline.

Preferred Experience

• Experience in fashion, apparel, accessories, jewellery, or lifestyle retail.
• Exposure to store audits, compliance, SOP implementation, and inventory controls.
• Experience in high-volume retail stores.
