We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Senior Android Developer with a strong background in both native Android development (Kotlin/Java) and React Native. You will play a crucial role in developing and maintaining our Android applications, contributing to both native modules and cross-platform features. You will be responsible for designing, building, and optimizing high-performance, user-friendly mobile applications that meet our business needs and delight our users.

Responsibilities

• Native Android Development:
• Design, develop, and maintain native Android applications using Kotlin and/or Java.
• Implement complex UI features, data persistence, and background services.
• Optimize application performance, memory usage, and battery consumption.
• Write clean, maintainable, and well-documented code.
• Conduct thorough code reviews and ensure adherence to coding standards.
• Integrate with RESTful APIs and other backend services.
• Work with Android SDK, Android Studio, and other relevant tools.
• React Native Development:
• Develop and maintain cross-platform mobile applications using React Native.
• Build reusable React Native components and modules.
• Integrate native Android modules with React Native applications.
• Debug and troubleshoot issues across both native and React Native codebases.
• Implement and maintain state management solutions.
• Work with React Native CLI, and expo.
• Collaboration and Communication:
• Collaborate with product managers, designers, and other engineers to define and implement features.
• Participate in agile development processes, including sprint planning, daily stand-ups, and retrospectives.
• Communicate effectively with team members and stakeholders.
• Mentor junior developers and share knowledge.
• Testing and Quality Assurance:
• Write unit and integration tests to ensure code quality and stability.
• Perform thorough testing and debugging to identify and fix issues.
• Contribute to the continuous integration and continuous delivery (CI/CD) pipeline.
• Participate in beta testing and gathering user feedback.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
• 5+ years of experience in Android development.
• Strong proficiency in Kotlin and/or Java.
• Proven experience with React Native development.
• Solid understanding of Android SDK, Android Studio, and related development tools.
• Experience with RESTful APIs and JSON.
• Familiarity with state management libraries (e.g., Redux, Context API).
• Experience with version control systems (e.g., Git).
• Strong understanding of software development principles and best practices.
• Excellent problem-solving and debugging skills.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills.
• Experience with testing frameworks.
• Understanding of mobile UI/UX principles.
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines is a plus.
• Experience with Native module creation for react native is a large plus.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with native iOS development (Swift/Objective-C).
• Experience with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Google Cloud).
• Experience with performance optimization techniques.
• Experience with mobile analytics and crash reporting tools.
