AIML Engineer - Backend

Roles and Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain scalable backend services and APIs for AI/ML-powered applications.
• Build, train, evaluate, and optimize machine learning models for production use cases.
• Take ML solutions from experimentation to deployment, monitoring, and maintenance.
• Develop REST APIs using Python frameworks such as FastAPI, Flask, or Django.
• Design and optimize database schemas, queries, and data pipelines.
• Implement model versioning, tracking, monitoring, and lifecycle management using MLOps tools.
• Collaborate with product, engineering, and business teams to understand requirements and deliver impactful AI solutions.
• Troubleshoot production issues, optimize system performance, and ensure reliability of deployed models.
• Follow software engineering best practices, including testing, documentation, and code reviews.

Requirements

• Minimum 1+ years of experience building and shipping production backend or ML systems.
• Hands-on experience taking ML/AI models from development through deployment.
• Strong proficiency in Python and backend frameworks such as FastAPI, Flask, or Django.
• Experience in REST API development.
• Hands-on experience with Machine Learning libraries such as TensorFlow, PyTorch, or Scikit-learn.
• Experience in model training, evaluation, and optimization.
• Strong SQL and database design knowledge.
• Understanding of software architecture and API design fundamentals.
• Familiarity with MLOps practices, including model lifecycle management, versioning, and monitoring using MLflow or equivalent tools.
• Strong problem-solving and technical communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications

• Hands-on experience with React.js, JavaScript, HTML, CSS, and frontend-to-backend integration.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field.
