Job Description

Assistant General Manager – Finance (Corporate)

Location

Position Summary

Spartek Group is looking for an experienced and results-driven Assistant

General Manager – Finance to support the Group's finance function across its

diversified businesses, including building materials, precast construction,

industrial flooring, decorative flooring, construction chemicals, prefabricated

buildings, manufacturing, and trading operations.

The AGM – Finance will play a critical role in financial planning, budgeting,

treasury management, MIS reporting, taxation, statutory compliance, banking,

business finance, and internal controls. The role will work closely with business

heads and the Corporate Leadership Team to ensure strong financial

governance while supporting business growth and profitability.

The position will be based at the Corporate Head Office.

1Key Responsibilities

Financial Planning & Business Finance

  • Assist in preparing annual budgets, rolling forecasts, and long-term

financial plans.

  • Monitor business performance against budgets and financial targets.
  • Conduct variance analysis and recommend corrective actions.
  • Support business units with profitability analysis, pricing decisions, and

financial planning.

  • Develop financial models for new projects and business opportunities.

Management Information Systems (MIS)

  • Prepare and present monthly MIS reports for the Chairman, MD, and

senior management.

  • Develop financial dashboards and performance reports.
  • Analyse business performance across all Group companies.
  • Track key financial and operational KPIs.

Treasury & Working Capital Management

  • Monitor daily cash flow and liquidity requirements.
  • Assist in managing banking relationships and credit facilities.
  • Support working capital optimisation initiatives.
  • Coordinate fund utilisation and cash forecasting.
  • Assist in project finance and loan documentation.

Financial Reporting

  • Ensure timely preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial

statements.

  • Coordinate the consolidation of financial information across Group

companies.

  • Maintain financial reporting accuracy in compliance with accounting

standards.

  • Support Board and Management reporting requirements.

Taxation & Compliance

2• Ensure compliance with GST, Income Tax, TDS, Companies Act, ROC, and

other statutory requirements.

  • Coordinate with statutory auditors, internal auditors, tax consultants,

and regulatory authorities.

  • Monitor statutory filings and regulatory deadlines.
  • Support tax planning initiatives.

Cost Control & Financial Analysis

  • Monitor operating costs across business units.
  • Analyse project costs and product profitability.
  • Recommend cost optimisation measures.
  • Support capital expenditure evaluation and ROI analysis.

Internal Controls & Risk Management

  • Implement and monitor financial control systems.
  • Ensure adherence to Group financial policies.
  • Assist in strengthening internal audit processes.
  • Identify financial risks and recommend mitigation measures.

ERP & Process Improvement

  • Support implementation and enhancement of ERP and finance systems.
  • Improve finance workflows through automation and digitisation.
  • Ensure accuracy and integrity of financial data across systems.
  • Drive continuous process improvement initiatives.

Banking & Fund Raising Support

  • Coordinate with banks and financial institutions for working capital and

project financing.

  • Assist in preparing financial information for funding proposals.
  • Support due diligence exercises for lenders and investors.
  • Maintain banking documentation and compliance.

Team Leadership

  • Supervise and mentor finance executives and accountants.
  • Coordinate finance activities across Group companies.
  • Ensure timely completion of finance and accounting deliverables.

Candidate Profile

Education

  • Chartered Accountant (CA) – Preferred
  • MBA (Finance) / CMA – Preferred
  • Strong academic background in Finance or Accounting

Experience

  • 10–15 years of progressive experience in finance and accounting.
  • Minimum 3–5 years in a managerial finance role.
  • Experience in manufacturing, construction materials, infrastructure,

engineering, or industrial sectors is highly desirable.

  • Exposure to multi-company or corporate finance environments is

preferred.
