About the role

You are the domain backbone of Atlas - the person who keeps our AI agents honest, our workflows grounded in real practice, and our clients confident they're in expert hands. Your knowledge doesn't sit in a doc; it shapes the product.

This is not a back-office SME role. You'll work directly with clients, translate messy real-world requirements into process specs the product team can build on, and be the first to catch when an AI-generated output is technically wrong - before it reaches a client.

We are an AI-first firm - that means embracing AI tools as daily infrastructure and not as a threat. Your deep expertise is what makes the AI trustworthy.

What we’re looking for

Tax & Accounting Expertise (5+ years)

• Licensed CPA with hands-on US individual and business tax filing experience - 1040s, 1120s, 1065s, S-corps
• Strong grasp of bookkeeping fundamentals
• Familiarity with common US tax software - UltraTax, Lacerte, Drake, CCH Axcess, ProSeries
• Strong grasp of compliance requirements
• 3+ years of direct work with US-based clients; ability to manage client expectations and translate complexity into plain language

Working in an AI-native Environment

• You use AI tools as daily infrastructure, and can give real examples of how AI saves you time and makes you more effective
• You act as the quality gate for AI output; you understand that ultimately the output is yours, not AI’s.
• You give structured and actionable feedback on product features - not just "this is wrong" but "here's what it should have done and why"
