Job Description & Responsibilities
MISSION
This role goes beyond routine accounting the successful candidate will play a critical part in ensuring accurate financial closing, driving operational excellence and accounting simplification process, and supporting strong finance governance & control in Coface India
Role & responsibilities
- Responsible for accounting processes in Coface India
- Month-end and Year-end closing Prepare general ledger, journal entries, reconciliations, and closing activities with support of Shared service team. Ensure timely closing activities and maintain proper documentation and filing of financial records.
- Cash forecast and actual monitoring Prepare cash forecast for Coface India, ensure forecasting accuracy and act as key liaison with our banking partner
- Manage Accounts Receivable aging and follow up collections
- Assist Finance Manager for compliance, audit and statutory filing requirements of Coface India for example:-
- Handle various tax calculations, payments and filings e.g., Provident Fund, TDS ,Professional Tax, ESIC, GST, Advance tax
- Support Finance Manager in preparation for external audit
- Be a level 1 internal control owner for Coface India and collaborate with internal auditor, compliance officer and risk manager
- Handle other day-to-day finance operations for example
- Review vendor invoices and ensured correct tax applicability in compliance with statutory regulations and perform counter-call to validate new suppliers
- Review new payment templates and uploded payment instructions on HSBCNet
- Support ad hoc finance tasks upon required by Finance Manager or Management team

- Support finance manager to drive Operational excellence initiative - continuously driving process improvement, simplification & efficiency with close collaboration with Shared Service Center team in Bangalore, Singapore Finance team, and APR Finance team
- Live ONE SEA & INDIA finance team vision – support & strongly collaborate with other finance team members; display positive mindset
- Excellent in Microsoft office suites (Outlook, Powerpoint, Excel, Word) Experience using Finance ERP, Business Objects, Power BI are plus but not mandatory
Preferred candidate profile
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree – in business or finance or accounting
- Minimum 5 years of working experience in accounting and audit
- Hands on in India tax and accounting are mandatory
- Key Skills: GL accounting, month-end closing, reconciliations, AR, cash forecasting, GST, TDS, PF, ESIC, audit support, compliance
- Ideal Candidate: Senior Accountant / GL Accountant / Financial Accountant with strong India tax and accounting knowledge.
