Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Accountant or Senior Accountant role based in Chandigarh. The role involves managing day-to-day accounting operations, including bookkeeping, general ledger maintenance, accounts payable and receivable, and bank reconciliations.

The Accountant or Senior Accountant will support tax computation and filing, assist with regulatory and statutory compliance, and prepare financial statements and management reports. Daily responsibilities include coordinating with clients and internal teams on audit schedules, documentation, and queries, as well as ensuring accurate and timely reporting. The role may also involve supporting corporate finance activities, process improvements, and contributing to best practices in financial control and compliance.

Qualifications

• Strong accounting and finance skills, including general ledger management, financial statement preparation, and familiarity with accounting standards.
• Experience with tax compliance and planning, including direct and indirect taxes, filings, and coordination with regulatory authorities.
• Audit-related capabilities, such as documentation, working papers, reconciliations, and support for statutory and internal audits.
• Proficiency with accounting software and MS Office tools, especially spreadsheets and financial reporting applications.
• Excellent analytical, numerical, and problem-solving skills, with attention to detail and accuracy in financial data.
• Effective communication and client-handling skills, with the ability to work collaboratively within a professional services environment.
• Relevant professional qualification such as CA, semi-qualified CA, or a degree in commerce/accounting; prior experience in a chartered accountancy firm is an advantage.
• Ability to work on-site in Chandigarh, manage deadlines, and adapt in a dynamic, compliance-focused setting.
