We are looking for experienced Java professional for our client to drive Metadata Integrations & Ecosystem Engineering initiatives. This role will play a critical part in building the “nervous system” of our data catalog and defining the long-term metadata collection strategy across thousands of data sources.

🔹 Role: Software Engineer – Java (Metadata Platform)

Experience Range

• 7–13 Years (Senior Software Engineer)

💡 Key Responsibilities

🔹 Metadata Integrations

• Design and develop high-performance Java-based metadata collector libraries
• Build robust integrations using REST, GraphQL, and SOAP APIs
• Handle complex third-party systems with varied authentication & schema models
• Optimize ETL metadata extraction processes for scalability and minimal system impact
• Ensure clean architecture, automated testing, and documentation standards

🔹 Metadata Ecosystem & Architecture

• Architect scalable frameworks supporting large-scale metadata collection
• Define technical roadmap for metadata governance and lineage strategy
• Solve systemic integration challenges such as schema drift, rate limits, and authentication hurdles
• Drive extensibility and developer ergonomics across metadata systems
• Mentor engineers and lead architectural reviews

✅ Required Skills

• 5+ years of Strong Java expertise (Concurrency, Memory Management, Design Patterns)
• Proven experience building production-grade API integrations
• Deep understanding of distributed systems and scalable architectures
• Experience with metadata management, data lineage, or governance workflows
• Strong problem-solving and performance optimization skills

🌟 Preferred Skills

• Experience with Modern Data Stack (Snowflake, dbt, Airflow, Fivetran, etc.)
• Experience with enterprise-scale engineering environments
• Ability to drive technical consensus across cross-functional teams
