🚀 Key Responsibilities

• Develop ServiceNow portal solutions using Service Portal and UI Builder.
• Build and maintain reusable widgets and UI components.
• Develop server-side scripts, Business Rules, and Flow Designer workflows.
• Create and maintain client-side scripts and UI policies.
• Implement GlideAjax for client-server communication.
• Develop REST/SOAP integrations using Integration Hub.
• Write optimized GlideRecord queries and database operations.
• Participate in code reviews and maintain documentation.
• Troubleshoot and resolve ServiceNow platform issues.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver solutions on time.

🛠️ REQUIRED TECHNICAL SKILLS

💻 Front-End Development

• JavaScript (ES6+): Strong knowledge of DOM manipulation, event handling, Promises, async/await, and JSON processing.
• AngularJS : Experience with ServiceNow Service Portal, including controllers, directives, services, and scope management.
• HTML5 / CSS3 / SCSS: Strong command of semantic markup, responsive layouts, and custom styling.
• Bootstrap 3: Familiarity with the grid system and components used in ServiceNow Service Portal.
• Browser DevTools: Experience debugging JavaScript, inspecting network requests, and performance analysis.

🎨 Next Experience (UI Builder)

• UI Builder & Experience Framework: Building and configuring portal pages, record pages, and app shells.
• UIB Components & Layouts: Developing and customizing Now Components using @servicenow/ui-core.
• Declarative Actions & Client State Parameters: Configuring UI interactions with minimal scripting.
• Data Resources & REST API Bindings: Connecting UI components to backend data sources.
• Contextual Side Panel & Split View Layouts: Designing context-aware, multi-panel user experiences.

⚙️ GlideAjax & Client/Server-Side Scripting

• GlideAjax: Asynchronous server-side calls to Script Includes from Service Portal widgets.
• Client Scripts: Developing onLoad, onChange, and onSubmit scripts.
• UI Policies: Configuring field visibility, mandatory, and read-only behavior.
• UI Actions: Creating custom form and list actions.
• Catalog Client Scripts: Scripting for Service Catalog items and variable sets.
• Script Includes: Building reusable server-side JavaScript utilities.
• Flow Designer: Creating automated workflows using triggers, actions, and subflows.
• UI Macros: Familiarity with Jelly-based templates for legacy configurations.
• SQL Basics: Understanding relational queries supporting GlideRecord operations.

🔗 Integration

• REST / SOAP / OAuth: Building and consuming secure web service integrations.
• Integration Hub: Creating spoke actions and integration flows.
• Connection & Credentials / Spokes: Configuring authenticated connections and using pre-built spokes.

💼 EXPERIENCE

• 4–8 years of hands-on ServiceNow development experience across multiple modules.
• Experience delivering Service Portal and Next Experience (UI Builder) solutions in production environments.
• Proven experience with end-to-end integrations using REST, SOAP, and Integration Hub.
• ServiceNow Certified Application Developer (CAD) or Certified System Administrator (CSA) certification preferred.
• Experience working in Agile/Scrum teams with sprint-based delivery.

⭐ NICE TO HAVE

• Knowledge of ServiceNow App Engine and Automated Test Framework (ATF).
• Familiarity with Git-based source control and CI/CD pipelines (e.g., GitLab, Azure DevOps) for ServiceNow.
