Sr. Front End Developer | Chennai- Onsite | 3+ yrs

We are seeking a talented engineer to support development of an API Server and frontend application. The ideal candidate will have experience with Vue 3; Vitest; E2E tests; REST API testing; and configuring Gitlab Docker CI/CD test environments. Initial focus of this position will be effectively a QA role, with potential for evolving to development tasks. You must first and foremost be passionate about ensuring the quality of software applications - proactively identifying testing needs and designing and implementing testing approaches – and we can build from there.

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, software engineering, or related field (or equivalent experience).
• Knowledge of Vue 3 and experience in testing Vue 3 applications.
• Proficiency in Vitest and E2E testing frameworks.
• Familiarity with REST API testing tools and techniques.
• Experience in configuring and managing test environments using Docker and Gitlab CI/CD.
• Detail-oriented with a passion for delivering high-quality software.
• Proactive attitude and the ability to take initiative in identifying testing needs.

• Proactively assess the nature of the API Server application and make informed decisions about which tests to write to ensure comprehensive test coverage.
• Develop and maintain automated test scripts for the Vue 3 UI using Vitest and E2E testing frameworks.
• Perform manual testing as needed, especially for exploratory testing and edge cases.
• Conduct REST API testing to verify the functionality and data integrity of our backend services.
• Configure and manage Gitlab Docker CI/CD test environments to support continuous integration and deployment.
• Report and track defects, work with lead developer to resolve issues, and verify bug fixes.
• Document test cases, test plans, and testing procedures.
• Participate in code reviews and contribute to improving the overall software development process.
