The ideal candidate will be part of the application development team for a major Insurance client. He/ She will work with different stakeholders to identify application development opportunities and perform cost benefit analysis for the same.
The role will encompass design, build and configuration of applications to meet business process and application requirements.
The ideal candidate will be required to participate actively in brainstorming sessions to identify opportunities at process improvement, effective communication with stakeholders and efficient implementation of solutions.
Should ideally have 5-8 years of experience in a similar role and should display a Get it Done work ethic and an attitude of embracing ambiguity.
Experience in life insurance preferred but not mandatory.
Robust problem-solving skills; experience in decision analytics.
Should be able to work independently on a problem and be able to meet client requirements with minimal or no supervision.
Good communication skills for client engagement
Exhibit a high degree of curiosity
Experience in designing, implementation, and testing of Python applications with good understanding of object-oriented programming, multi-tier architecture, parallel/ multithreaded programming.
5-8 years of experience as Python Full Stack developer.
Must have hands on coding experience using Object Oriented methodology.
Must have knowledge of NumPy, pandas and other common data libraries.
Must have knowledge of design patterns and their implementation.
Must be proficient in designing scalable architecture for systems, preferably from scratch.
Should have experience in a DevOps environment.
Knowledge of Agile/Waterfall methodology for application development and testing life cycle.
AWS Cloud experience preferred but not necessary.
Preferably have experience in financial model building.
Experience of tensor libraries like PyTorch, TensorFlow and other python APIs preferred.
Ability to understand data in line with business use cases and requirements to identify patterns, data quality gaps, data lineage, etc.
Strong ability to translate functional specifications / requirements to technical requirements.
