The Sales Manager represents the entire range of company products and services to the prospects/customers, while leading the account planning cycle and ensuring customers' needs and expectations are met by the company.
This is a leadership role with P&L responsibility and high level of empowerment & visibility in the organization.
Job Responsibilities
The Sales Manager is responsible for new account opening, achieving sales and profitability targets and assigned strategic account objectives.
The Sales Manager maintains and expands relationships with existing customers.
Formulate sales strategy and define the target markets and customers - Build and promote strong, long-lasting customer relationships by partnering with them and understanding their needs.
Presenting our global services portfolio and India capabilities to customers, in order to generate business for us.
Continuously filling the sales pipeline for us for engineering services and projects - Contract and pricing negotiations with customer
Grow existing service lines and also expand to newer areas
Conducting market research, competition analysis and customer satisfaction surveys
Propose solutions to address customer needs
Strategic planning of sales activities and setting KPIs with global and German management
Account level revenue and profit & loss (P&L) responsibility
Experience: - Total of 12 to 18 years of experience in Automotive Engineering field
At least 5 years of experience in managing a large account (more than 100 people size) in an Engineering Services business
Sales and Business development experience in automotive engineering area
Able to handle different technologies in Automotive domain (namely, Mechanical design, CAE, Embedded software & Electronics, Manufacturing engineering and IT)
Qualifications: - Bachelors in Engineering (in Mechanical / Electronics)
Additional management degree will be an advantage
Base Location: Chennai (ready to travel across India)
