Job Description
- Job status: Accepting Candidates — M/S Tele RN Eves & EOW 40hrs.
- Years of Experience Required: 2 years.
- Floating Required: Travelers are required to float to applicable units when needed.
- Rotating Shifts Required: Day Rotators may be rotated between (7a-7p, 11a-11p or 7p-7a) when needed. Rotation frequency is usually low. Night positions do not rotate.
- Skill Sets Required: Travelers should have knowledge on cardiac drips and be able to interpret Tele Strips. Nursing care for patients post cardiac catheterization and pacemaker is needed but not required.
- Clinician to Patient Ratio: The RN to patient ratio on day and evening is 1:4 max of 5. The night shift is 1:5-6. Day shift on weekdays includes a Charge RN without a patient assignment.
- Patient Population: Davenport 8s primary diagnosis is CHF, Atrial Fibrillation, Pulmonary Embolus and pneumonia. We also have patients coming in for with ETOH, dementia with Cardiac co-morbidities. Sometimes, we also occasionally admit surgical patients if the other units do not have a bed.
