Job Accountabilities:
- Coordinate well planning and execution operations
- Prepare and maintain the wells basis of design for all operations (drilling, completion and well test)
- Work as Company Man on drilling/HF/completion rigs
- Organize peer reviews of the wells basis of design/programs (drilling, completions and testing)
- Confirm well programs are prepared in compliance with Company Policies and Standards.
- Develop and maintain D&C program processes, and ensure check sheets, are completed.
- Capture Lessons Learnt in all programs.
- Provide technical input to bids for services and equipment.
- Provide technical input to tender reviews as necessary.
- Lead and challenge engineers to provide technical solutions to unscheduled events.
- Assist operations in the management of unscheduled events.
- Prepare technical input and attend Technical Committee meetings
- Coordinate Well site operations as well as logistics, equipment, material and personnel support
- Coordinate the development of Company Well Engineering Polices and Standards, Procedures and Guidelines to deliver safe and efficient operations
- Maintain and close out remedial work plans following audits.
- Prepare AFEs
- Maintain medium and long-term material requirement lists for all wells.
- Ensure End of Wells Reports are completed on time.
- Complete cost reconciliation at the end of wells.
- Mentor Junior Drilling Engineers
Skill & Competencies:
- Knowledge of horizontal, deviated drilling, mud engineering, casing design, hydraulic fracturing, completions design and well testing
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Adequate computer skills
- Good written & verbal communication skills.
Education Required:
Post Graduate or Graduate Degree in Engineering
Experience Required:
Minimum 5 years of experience
Should have well planning and design knowledge and experience
Capable of making cost efficient decisions.
Experience of industry standard software is a must
