Job Accountabilities
Statutory and Regulatory Compliance Management:
- Monitoring of various applicable Statutory & regulatory compliances and work with relevant departments in the site for follow up of the same.
- Complete Liaison with various regulatory agencies (SPCBs, DISH, CCoE and Fire Dept.) as site representative.
- To take various Statutory & regulatory approvals for new projects & modifications.
- To keep update with various regulatory changes & requirements of the regulatory agencies.
- Monitoring & compliance of all Legal & Regulatory compliances & assurance of 100% compliance to site president every month.
- To preserve all important Legal & Regulatory documents for ready reference at the time of internal & external audits & government inspection visits.
Environmental Management:
Implementation of Health, Safety & Environment Management System
- Coordinating in ambient air quality, stack gas, noise & ambient environment Monitoring
- Monitoring of Environmental Risks & implement control measures to mitigate the same.
- Prepare periodic Management Information System reports for monitoring HSE&F performance.
- Ensure availability of HSE&F documentation at all facilities.
- Conduct and Participate in HSE Audits (Internal & External)
- Monitoring and Reporting of major environmental performance indicators on a monthly basis (Air Emissions, Noise, GHG Calculations (ISO 14064 standards), Waste Generation & Disposal Data,& Incidents)
- Identify the training needs and Impart Environmental training to enhance competency of the target group.
- Plan and coordinate for the participation of seminars & training programs organized by Government agencies for Safety and Environment promotion to develop awareness.
- Scheduling and coordinating promotional activities on the occasions of like National Safety Day, Fire Service Weeks and World Environment Day
- Integrated Management System (IMS) and Operating Management System (OMS)Ensure continuation of Integrated Management System Certification (ISO 9001:2015, ISO14001:2015 and ISO 45001:2018)
- To facilitate IMS Legal & Regulatory and EMS activities for the area and for the MR.
- ISO 14031: 1999 Environmental management - Environmental Performance Evaluation
- Carry out OMS Functional Assurance to SEs related to Environment and Statutory/ Regulatory.
- Assist in resolving identified gaps in implementation of OMS as found in OMS Gas assessment audits
Skill & Competencies:
- Extensive knowledge on Environmental Management system in order to facilitate line management in its implementation and to verify its effectiveness.
- Good technical understanding of Environmental Best Practices to prevent pollution.
- Good auditing skills for auditing EMS and Statutory/Regulatory Area. Analytical skill to analyse the audit findings.
- Good knowledge on Operations Management Systems (OMS) and IMS.
- Competent in providing training on various EMS and Statutory Aspects.
- In-depth understanding of legislative framework governing the Health, Safety and Environment in Indian / Global context.
- Knowledge of IMS &OMS and carrying internal audits for continual improvement at site.
Education Required:
Graduate / Post Graduate Degree in Environmental Engineering or
B.E or B.Tech ( any Engineering Graduate) with diploma in Environment or
M.Sc (Environmental Science)
Experience Required:
04 to 08 years of experience in the field of Environment Management and compliance management
