Job Purpose
Provide technical assurance and high end services to manufacturing sites to ensure pace setter performance of all facilities with an assurance on reliability, in the defined areas of Fundamental Engineering. Envisage new areas of expertise required for the company and build them within the group.
Identify the long term needs of the organization in the areas of heat/mass transfer operations, fluid dynamic and reactor design/engineering and develop the department to offer world class services.
Job Accountabilities
1. Lead defined technology programmes in areas of Fundamental Engineering
2. Lead multiple specialty high end services groups such as heat transfer, mass transfer and separation, fluid dynamics and reactor design and engineering.
3. Lead team to trouble shoot of complex/chronic process problems in the manufacturing sites.
4. Review/Approve the recommendations
5. Align activities to ensure technical excellence.
6. Develop related SME, develop expertise for companys future needs.
7. Ensure technical assurance in defined areas of FE, during major PIOs, revamp and capex projects
8. Lead Multiple Engg Projects involving advanced process design and System engineering.
9. Ensure usage of best simulation and optimization tools in trouble shooting of problems, carrying out equipment designs.
10. Propose strategic external engagements with OEMs institutes, other global bodies.
Experience and Qualifications)
1. Ph.D. in chemical engineering. Exceptional B.Tech / M.Tech could also be considered preferably from Premium Institutes
2. Minimum 10 -15 years experience. At least part in chemical, petrochemical, refinery site CTS.
Knowledge and Skills
1. Domain expertise in at least two of areas -heat transfer, mass transfer, fluid flow, reaction and reactor engineering
2. Knowledge of related equipment design
