Job Description
5-8 years of professional experience as a Data Modeller.
Experience in conceptual modeling to aid understanding and input to Universal Data Model (UDM).
Experience in logical modeling to prepare development teams for delivering physical underlying structures.
Proficiency in ER modeling (Entity Relationship) and dimension modeling (star schema, snowflake schema).
Job Responsibilities
Experience in Financial Services, specifically within data domains/functions (e.g., Data Management, Data Architecture, Data Governance).
Familiarity with data modeling tools such as Erwin, Collibra, Solidatus, IBM Infosphere, Alteryx, and Manta.
Demonstrable knowledge of Data Management tools and techniques.
Ability to translate business requirements into solution designs and functional requirements.
Experience in eliciting, documenting, and verifying requirements for the use of data across the organization (Global Businesses and Global Functions) as appropriate to project scope.
Previous experience in data analysis, solutions analysis, or architecture, including the delivery of data artifacts in big data projects on-premises or cloud (e.g., data models, data flow diagrams, and metadata).
Proven strength in conceptual and logical thinking, ability to abstract information, and see the bigger picture.
Proven analysis skills with the ability to challenge designs/decisions and exposure to agile methodologies.
Experience in managing and resolving complex issues using proven analytical and problem-solving skills.
Experience working within large, complex, and geographically dispersed projects (including across time zones).
Ability to quickly get up to speed with the current data landscape and apply acquired analysis and data skills to new contexts and approaches.
Strong relationship-building and networking skills, with high levels of motivation and collaboration.
Excellent spoken and written communication skills, with a strong ability to communicate virtually (e.g., conference calls and video conferencing).
Strong leadership and the ability to articulate, present, and obtain approval for solutions at the right level for a wide audience (IT and Business).
Strong planning, organization, and time management skills with a demonstrated ability to meet deadlines.
Commercial acumen and ability to apply this to Business and IT data requirements.
A track record of consistently looking for ways to improve processes and a good understanding of the mechanisms necessary to implement change successfully.
Self-awareness and the confidence to work independently.
