Job Description
- Build and maintain data pipelines from MySQL application databases to AWS Redshift.
- Designing and implementing data models, covering data extraction, transformation, loading (ETL), data warehouse design, and dashboard creation.
- Write python scripts to automatically interact with databases.
- Design fact and dimension tables using accepted industry best practices.
- Work with data analysts and data science to build data structures to support reporting and science.
- Analyze and assess existing platforms for maintainability, reliability, scalability, and performance. Help define improvements for existing solutions.
- Make daily contributions to our data codebase.
- Participate and lead in architecture design and development with a focus on robustness, scalability and security.
- Work on projects that move the needle.
Job Responsibilities
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent practical experience).
- 2-5 years of data engineer experience.
- 2+ year python experience
- 2+ year data warehouse experience
- Loves to design and build data automations
- Ambitious and wants to fast track their career
- Proactive in taking ownership of tasks and taking them to completion
- Self managed problem solving (figuring things out on your own)
- Not afraid to go outside their required duties to get things done
- Excellent verbal and written English communication skills and ability to work with global teams.
- Flexible attitude and versatile personality
