Cybersecurity Engineer | Remote | 3+ yrs

Responsibilities:

• Design, implement, and manage security solutions to protect the organization's information systems and networks.
• Conduct regular security assessments, vulnerability scans, and penetration testing.
• Monitor security alerts and incidents, investigate and respond to security breaches in a timely manner.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure the integration of security measures into the development and operational processes.
• Evaluate and recommend security enhancements and purchases of security-related tools.
• Develop and maintain security policies, procedures, and documentation.
• Stay up-to-date with the latest cybersecurity trends, vulnerabilities, and threat intelligence.
• Provide guidance and training to staff on cybersecurity best practices.

• Proven experience as a Cybersecurity Engineer or in a similar role.
• In-depth knowledge of cybersecurity principles, practices, technologies, and frameworks.
• Hands-on experience with security tools such as firewalls, intrusion detection/prevention systems, antivirus, and SIEM solutions.
• Familiarity with compliance standards and frameworks (ISO 27001, NIST, CIS).
• Strong understanding of networking protocols, TCP/IP, and security architectures.
• Proficiency in scripting languages (e.g., Python, PowerShell) for automating security tasks.
• Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
• Effective communication and collaboration skills.
• Bachelor’s degree in Cybersecurity, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
