Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled Cloud Security Engineer to join our cybersecurity team and play a key role in ensuring the security and integrity of our cloud-based infrastructure. The ideal candidate will have expertise in cloud security best practices, a deep understanding of cloud platforms, and the ability to implement robust security measures. Responsibilities:

  • Design, implement, and maintain security measures for cloud-based infrastructure on platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud.
  • Conduct regular security assessments, vulnerability scans, and penetration testing on cloud environments.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate security into the DevOps lifecycle.
  • Monitor and respond to security incidents, conducting forensic analysis when necessary.
  • Develop and implement access controls, encryption methods, and security policies for cloud resources.
  • Stay abreast of the latest cloud security threats and technologies to proactively address potential risks.
  • Collaborate with system architects to ensure security is embedded in the design of cloud solutions.
  • Provide guidance and support to development and operations teams on security best practices.

Job Responsibilities

  • Proven experience as a Cloud Security Engineer or in a similar role.
  • In-depth knowledge of cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud) and their security features.
  • Familiarity with security frameworks and compliance standards (ISO 27001, NIST, CIS).
  • Hands-on experience with security tools for cloud environments.
  • Strong understanding of networking protocols, firewalls, and intrusion detection/prevention systems.
  • Proficiency in scripting languages (Python, PowerShell) for automating security tasks.
  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Effective communication and collaboration skills.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Cybersecurity, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent experience).

Nice to have:

  • Security certifications such as Certified Cloud Security Professional (CCSP), AWS Certified Security Specialty, or Azure Security Engineer Associate.
  • Experience with container security (Docker, Kubernetes).
  • Knowledge of identity and access management solutions.
  • Familiarity with DevSecOps principles.
