Azure Engineer | Remote | 3+ yrs

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Azure Engineer to join our cloud services team. The successful candidate will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining scalable and secure solutions on the Microsoft Azure platform. Responsibilities:

• Design and implement robust, scalable, and high-performance solutions on the Microsoft Azure platform.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand project requirements and provide Azure-based technical solutions.
• Manage and maintain Azure infrastructure, ensuring optimal performance, security, and availability.
• Implement and automate deployment and configuration processes using Azure DevOps and Infrastructure as Code (IaC) principles.
• Perform regular system and security monitoring, addressing issues proactively.
• Troubleshoot and resolve Azure-related incidents and problems.
• Implement and maintain Azure governance and compliance policies.
• Collaborate with development teams to ensure Azure-based applications are well-architected and optimized.
• Stay abreast of the latest Azure updates, features, and best practices.
• Participate in on-call rotation support for critical infrastructure issues.

• Proven experience as an Azure Engineer or in a similar role.
• Deep understanding of Microsoft Azure services, including compute, storage, networking, and security.
• Proficiency in implementing and managing Azure Virtual Machines, Azure Kubernetes Service (AKS), Azure App Service, and other relevant services.
• Experience with Azure networking concepts, including Virtual Networks, Azure Load Balancer, and Azure Application Gateway.
• Familiarity with Azure Active Directory, identity and access management, and security best practices.
• Hands-on experience with Azure DevOps, Azure Resource Manager (ARM) templates, and PowerShell scripting.
• Strong knowledge of cloud security principles and best practices.
• Experience with monitoring and logging tools in Azure (Azure Monitor, Azure Log Analytics, etc.).
• Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
• Effective communication and collaboration skills.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent experience).

Nice to have:

• Azure certifications, such as Microsoft Certified: Azure Solutions Architect Expert or Microsoft Certified: Azure DevOps Engineer Expert.
• Experience with hybrid cloud environments and on-premises integrations.
• Knowledge of other cloud platforms (AWS, Google Cloud).
• Familiarity with containerization and orchestration tools (Docker, Kubernetes).
• Understanding of serverless computing and Azure Functions.
