Job Description
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
- Proven experience in designing and implementing data solutions on AWS cloud platform.
- Proficiency in AWS services such as Amazon S3, AWS Glue, Amazon Redshift, Amazon EMR, etc.
- Strong programming skills in languages like Python, Scala, or Java.
- Experience with data modeling, ETL processes, and SQL querying.
- Familiarity with data governance, security, and compliance requirements.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
- Ability to work independently and in a team-oriented, collaborative environment.
- AWS certification(s) such as AWS Certified Big Data - Specialty is a plus
Job Responsibilities
- Design, build, and maintain scalable data architectures on AWS cloud platform.
- Develop and implement data pipelines for ingesting, processing, and transforming large volumes of data from diverse sources.
- Design and optimize data models for efficient storage, retrieval, and analysis in data warehouses like Amazon Redshift.
- Implement data governance policies, access controls, and encryption mechanisms to ensure data security and compliance.
- Monitor and troubleshoot data pipelines, identifying and resolving performance bottlenecks and data quality issues.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand data requirements and deliver solutions that meet business needs.
- Document data infrastructure, pipelines, and best practices for knowledge sharing and future reference.
- Stay updated with the latest AWS services, best practices, and industry trends in data engineering.
