Leading and managing a team of QA professionals, providing guidance and direction to ensure the timely and efficient completion of testing and quality assurance tasks.
Developing and implementing test plans, test cases, and test scripts for various systems and applications of MagicLeap's devices such as software, firmware, and hardware.
Coordinating with other teams, including development, operations, and other internal teams, to ensure that quality assurance processes are integrated into the software development lifecycle.
Identifying, analyzing and reporting defects, issues, and risks related to the quality of the systems and applications of MagicLeap's devices.
Participating in the review of software requirements and design to ensure that the requirements are testable and that the design is appropriate for quality assurance testing.
MagicLeap is a startup company that has developed a head-mounted device called virtual retinal display. This technology superimposes 3D computer-generated images onto real-world objects by projecting a digital light field into the user's eye. This technology has potential applications in the fields of augmented reality and computer vision.
My Responsibilities:
- Ensuring compliance with industry standards and best practices in software testing and quality assurance for AR and VR devices.
- Keeping abreast of new technologies and methodologies in software testing and quality assurance, and recommending and implementing changes to improve the overall quality of MagicLeap's devices.
- Managing and tracking the performance of the QA team, and providing feedback and coaching to team members to support their professional development.
- Communicating progress and performance metrics to stakeholders, including management and clients.
- Collaborating with other departments to ensure that customer needs and expectations are met, particularly in terms of device functionality and usability.
- Testing and evaluating the device's performance under various scenarios and environments to ensure that it meets the standards of Quality, Durability and User experience.
- Providing technical guidance and support to the QA team to help them to understand the AR and VR technology and devices better.
