Grade: M3 Position Summary/Job Purpose The incumbent will be responsible for reliability and availability improvement in 2400 MW TPP & 1215 MW CPP. He/she will also be responsible for streamlining the Mechanical, Electrical, and C&I Functions. Additionally, he/she will be looking after the compliance and governance dimensions related to the Power Plant. Organizational Chart Job
Requirements Qualification BE / BTech (Mechanical/ Electrical / C&I)- Preferably Mechanical Work Experience 18-20 Years in PF boiler of 100 MW capacity or above with last 2-3 years in the position of Head Maintenance Special Requirements - Head CPP/TPP (M2) Head Maintenance Power- CPP/TPP (M3/M4) Head Mechanical (M4) Head Electrical (M4) Head C&I (M4) Skills
Essential Skills
Expertise in boiler overhauling, Testing & troubleshooting Expertise in rotary Machine maintenance & troubleshooting
Manpower Management skill
Expertise in Turbine & Auxiliaries Overhauling & troubleshooting Performing various modifications in the plant which resulted in safe & easy operations, and savings in coal, power, water, lubricants, etc.
Emergency Handling such as blackouts, grid outages, etc

Knowledge of CBM, and NDT standards for execution & implementation in day-to-day O&M

Perform and evaluate plant-specific functions (Mechanical, Electrical, and C&I) related to predictive and preventative maintenance, availability improvements, and the cost of production in Power Plant O&M
Responsible for Plant availability covering planned & unplanned outages
Plan and execute effective safe plant outages to meet all facility goals. Identify and build professional relationships with Business partners to perform quality work on time and within budget
Coordinate and conduct performance, functional, and surveillance testing of plant systems and components
Compare data with established standards, and interpret data with respect to component wear, malfunction, and necessity for repair or replacement. Continually attempt to improve all plant equipment performance & maintenance practices
Manage and ensure uniform application and technical correctness of a comprehensive maintenance program, including forecasting manpower workload and equipment needs for short-term and long-term needs
Perform any other duties as may be assigned by the Head, of the Power Plant from time to time
Ensuring Safety at Work for all preventive, corrective & breakdown maintenance
Preparation and execution of debottlenecking projects
Preparation of Capex Proposals, evaluation & long-term project
