Unit Lead- Trade Finance

  • Support and guide O2C business segments in all matters relating to banking eg. Bank guarantees, Letters of Credit, Credit Risk and Payments.
  • Financing of trade receivables and payables through various instruments eg. LC Bill Discounting, Forfaiting, Factoring, Buyers Credit, Suppliers Credit and other Structured Trade Finance.
  • Engage with Business and Business Operations team to track cash flows, loading schedule and invoices available for discounting
  • Prepare Daily / Weekly / monthly / quarterly cash flow forecasting and perform sector-wise variance analysis
  • Liaise with banks for compliance checks and negotiate competitive pricing for financing of receivables
  • Execute financing transactions, timely system entries and maintain masters in SAP for correct accounting
  • Liaison with Banks to enable forfaiting transactions with new counterparty sales on open account terms
  • Follow up meeting & periodic review of Operational activities with banks / Business Operations team
  • Resolution of payment related queries from Business and associated compliances
  • Plan transactions to minimize Credit Risk, optimize Working Capital and reduce financing cost.
  • Develop and maintain strong banking and other counterparty relationships.
  • Resolve operational issues arising out of LC advising and confirmation, LC amendment, Bank Guarantees and its invocation, trade financing, customer payments etc.
  • Ensure RBI and other regulatory compliances
  • Work on automation of workflows in SAP, implement new areas of automation in the area of trade finance
  • Adopt emerging ways of working in trade finance eg blockchain, platforms etc.
